Alan Ranger is a passionate photographer who found that through a collection of tubes and boxes with the word Sony stamped on them he could express his creative vision by pointing them at objects, people, scapes and just about anything that showed the beauty of light and shade.

His work is varied but shows a unique style that he has developed through persistence and an inbuilt perfectionist approach to not only capturing something magical but being able to develop that further in the digital dark room.

With a dedication and never ending enthusiasm to photography Alan has achieved the Royal Photographic Society Licentiateship Distinction (LRPS) and is working towards his Associate Distinction in 2011/12. With success at both national and international exhibition level (FIAP) Alan's award winning images are, in his words, "created to inspire and evoke a response"
